Those of you who know me, and that would be most of you who read this blog, are probably thinking, “What’s he writing about graduation gifts for?  He doesn’t even know what he wants for his birthday.”  (Actually, I do, but it’s a short list and two of the items are expensive.)

Well, here’s what happened.  I have another blog (www.thepriceoftheirtoys.com) that this article accidentally got written for.  The blog is strictly gift ideas for men.  Since I don’t want to completely waste a good article, I’m putting it here for now.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA         Last Thursday night we had a discussion in our small group that ended with one guy saying something to the effect of,

“Most of the people in our upper middle class town will never be really rich because they are perfectly content with the lifestyle they have.”

He was expanding on my comment that I think people who aren’t Christians look at Christians as “That place that is the place I don’t want to go because it will put me in worse shape than I am.”  Which was again a response to the book referring to most Christian communities as “Christian Ghettos.”  A place where we’ve all isolated ourselves to protect ourselves from the dangers of the world.
