Why you just might care
I use camtasia to clean up the audio recordings we do each Sunday of the sermons at our church. We use a simple MP3 recorder that was designed primarily to do dictation. Our pastor places this on the side of the podium and turns it on just before he starts the sermon and turns it off just after he says, “Let’s pray,” at the conclusion of the sermon. Camtasia does a real nice job of cleaning up the recording so that it sound almost as good as if we had done it with a microphone into a sound board, etc…
I also use it to record how-to sessions for some of my clients and have even used it to show a tech support person that I really am having a problem with their software, and the exact steps I use to reproduce the problem.
